Biography

Andrea Caputo is a Full Professor in Strategy & Negotiation at the University of Trento, Italy, and at York St. John University, and Honorary Professor at the University of Lincoln, United Kingdom, where in 2018 he co-founded with other academics the UNESCO Chair in Responsible Foresight for Sustainable Development. He received his PhD from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy. His main research interests include entrepreneurial decision-making, negotiation, digitalization and sustainability, internationalization and strategic management of SMEs. He is the editor of the book series “Entrepreneurial Behaviour” (Emerald), Co-Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Management Reviews, Editor-In-Chief of Strategic Change, and J of Enterprising Communities, and has served as Associate Editor of several leading journals. His award-winning research was published in over 100 contributions, including articles in highly ranked journals, e.g. HRM Journal, J of Business Research, J of Small Business Management, Small Business Economics, Int Small Business J, Int J of Conflict Management, Studies in Higher Education, Business Strategy & the Environment and IEEE TEM among the others. He is also the track chair at the European Academy of Management for the track "Entrepreneurial Decision Making and Behaviour". Since 2021 he has been yearly ranked among World's Top 2% Scientists List of outstanding researchers prepared by Elsevier BV, Stanford University, USA. In 2024 he has been elected member of the Council of the British Academy of Management and a member of the Peer Review College.
