Abstract
This paper sets out to explore the lived experience of menopause through an occupational lens to challenge the middle-class bias in existing studies whereby working-class women have largely fallen outside of the menopause discourse. This paper presents the preliminary findings of a project that used qualitative methods to explore social class-based differences in the lived experiences of menopausal women in the UK. The final paper and conference presentation will include the preliminary findings and conclusions.
