Abstract
China’s dimension stone industry, vital for construction and global trade, faces resource inefficiency, pollution, and technological lag. With a 2060 carbon neutrality target, generative AI offers potential for sustainable transformation through optimized processes and waste reduction. This paper assesses SME readiness in China’s dimension stone industry for generative AI adoption, across technological, economic, and regulatory dimensions, highlighting SME barriers and proposing a mixed-method study to develop a tailored framework.
