Abstract
In recent years, volunteerism has rapidly expanded as a strategic tool for supporting national reform and promoting innovative social governance in China. Despite this growth, the impact of corporate volunteering (CV) programs on workplace well-being (WWB) remains underexplored. This study examines the relationship between CV programs and WWB with a focus on the mediating effect of perceived corporate social responsibility (PCSR) and the moderating role of ethical leadership (ELS). Adopting an internal stakeholder framework, a questionnaire survey was conducted with 338 employees from the high-tech enterprises in China. The results indicate a positive correlation between CV and WWB. PCSR partially mediates this relationship, while ELS not only moderates the link between CV and PCSR but also influences the mediated relationship between CV and WWB. We recommend that more companies support CV programs and emphasize the importance of PCSR and ELS.
