Abstract
The construction industry suffers from a huge skills deficit that is delaying the overall construction programme, inflating costs and current employees regularly changing jobs providing business with the inefficient task of searching for more labour. In parallel with this, there is a reluctance for businesses to invest in new technologies regardless of the United Nations and UK Government targets whilst other sectors progress digitally moving towards Industry 5.0.
