Investment in skills management skills is one way of securing higher levels of employee engagement, increased wellbeing an improved productivity. Our study presents robust evidence and a suite of training tools which can be replicated in a range of organisational contexts that aid in enhancing key competencies of line managers. We do this by designing, implementing and evaluating an online training intervention in 20 organisations in the UK. Pre-post analysis of the data demonstrate a highly positive impact on the manager’s approach in dealing with personnel issues.
