Abstract
Climate change and consequently green transition are impacting all industries and the agri-food and wine ones are not excluded by the wave. For this reason, firms have faced the need of adapting their business models to this global phenomenon to survive. The variability of climate change impacts, because of normative, biological, environmental and social aspects, makes really difficult to determine a unique “way to walk”. The present research aims at presenting the application of organizational change for green transition inside wine industry. The research has been structured as a single intrinsic qualitative case study of a famous Italian reality located in Tuscany and Piemonte. Direct interviews were performed between May and July 2022 with the members of the top managerial levels of the firm. The interview protocol has been developed following the John Kotter's 8-step model, formulating a set of open question for each phase. The results of the interviews have been integrated with consultation of public documents like the sustainability report of the firm and direct observation. The goal of the research is providing a successful example of transition between a traditional business model to one that marry the environmental sustainability cause in first place. Also, for each phase challenges, issues and barriers are carefully discussed and observed to provide an effective model for other firms, belonging to this industry, that are facing the necessity to change.
