Abstract
Knowledge leakage and protection are common phenomena for interorganizational projects, where multiple organizations are involved. This paper sets out to understand how knowledge loss occurs and how to protect knowledge, particularly in interorganizational projects. For this purpose, the Green Line in Karachi, in Pakistan, was examined. A case study approach is employed in this paper. Empirical data were collected through semi-structured interviews and archival documents. Thematic analysis has been used. By examining knowledge leakage and protection in interorganizational projects, this article contributes to the literature on protection motivation theory.
