Abstract
The significance of knowledge sharing can be seen in successful organizational change, sustainability, innovation, and competitive advantages. Even though many measures have been attempted to encourage information-sharing behaviour in organisations, employees may not always be willing to share knowledge due to personal beliefs or organisational environments that encourage knowledge hiding behaviour (KHB).
This study reviewed 46 publications from Web of Science (Wos). In the initial stage we identify the existing literature on psychological ownership (PO) and knowledge hiding behaviour (KHB). In the second step we utilize the PRISMA approach for systematic literature review for identification, screening, and eligibility of relevant literature. In the third step, we utilize the VOS viewer and ARCGIS for further bibliometric analysis.
In this systematic review, the current psychological behaviour (PO) of the individuals analysed, for this purpose, we included the articles on psychological ownership (PO) and knowledge hiding behaviour (KHB) for bibliometric analysis. The most productive country is the People's Republic of China, which has 17 institutions, the top one of which is Renmin University. The journal with the most articles published is the Journal of Knowledge Management. There were 14 clusters in the article co-occurrence network. Important study areas were discovered by a keyword analysis, including knowledge management, psychological ownership, organizational/knowledge-based psychological ownership, employee knowledge, and knowledge work.
The study of psychological ownership (PO) and knowledge hiding behaviour (KHB) has shown a substantial increase in interest. The recent decade has shown a huge interest in exploring the psychological ownership (PO) impact components. It is observed that organizations will improve more if the psychological ownership (PO) of the knowledge decreases. Knowledge hiding normally affects negatively on the performance of the individual as well as the organization.
